Personal Description:

My name is Conor and I am from Wexford. I am a final-year Physiotherapy student in UCD with a strong academic background and a particular passion for Biology and Geography. I achieved 625 points in my Leaving Certificate, including H1s in both Biology and Geography, and I received 100% in Leaving Certificate Geography. My current degree is heavily biology-based, which allows me to bring real understanding and relevance to the material. I am friendly, patient, and highly organised, and I aim to create a positive and supportive learning environment for every student.

Tutoring Experience:

I have experience providing one-to-one grinds tailored to the individual needs of each student. I support students with understanding difficult concepts, improving exam technique, and building confidence in both Biology and Geography. Having recently completed the Leaving Certificate myself, I am very familiar with the current syllabus, exam structure, and marking schemes. I focus on helping students maximise marks by understanding what examiners are looking for, as well as strengthening core subject knowledge. I also have experience in coaching football and working in hospital environments, which has allowed me to build strong teaching and communication skills.

Approach to Grinds:

My approach to grinds is structured, supportive, and exam-focused. I can provide students with structured notes which I used to achieve a H1 in both Biology and Geography in the Leaving Cert. I can also provide notes of the same relevant standard for Junior Cycle Students. I begin by identifying the student’s goals and areas of difficulty, and then tailor each session accordingly. Lessons focus on clear explanations, active questioning, and plenty of exam-style practice. I place strong emphasis on exam technique, keywords, diagrams, and answering questions to marking scheme standard, particularly for Leaving Cert and Junior Cert higher-level Biology and Geography. My aim is to help students feel confident, well-prepared, and capable of achieving their best possible results. I can offer online grinds via Zoom for students at times which best suit them and their schedule, as I know the time demands are intense while in exam years. I can provide online grinds to students across Ireland.
