Ciao, my name is Vito and I am a native Italian speaker and tutor. I have been living in United Kingdom for many years and now consider the U.K. to be my second home. For the past 7 years, I have been tutoring Italian to many people throughout Great Britain and beyond. For me tutoring is a passion and I am totally dedicated to share my enthusiasm and work towards improving and perfecting their language skills.

Teaching Experience:
Having studied other modern languages, I have a very good grasp of the way to assist modern language learners . As I mentioned in my profile, I have tutored Italian for at least 7 years to both children and adults throughout the U.K. and beyond. In addition, I have a very solid knowledge of the world of business, which has proven very useful for many of my student in their studies.
Teaching Approach:
Some people may be slightly diffident when it comes to starting to learn a modern language but with a great deal of encouragement and reinforcement of the concepts, which I have taught, confidence quickly grows and the result shine through. You will progress at your own pace and I shall guide you with patient and encouraging support to gain confidence and make the sustained and comprehensive you will require.

From Panos (/5): I've been learning Italian with Vito for a couple of months now. I'm always so excited to have a lesson with him and I have noticed such a big difference since we started. Every lesson is adapted to my needs and my level which makes it flow so smoothly.
My favourite part of each lesson is definitely the conversations we have. They are such a great opportunity to put everything I've learnt into practice and they're so fun and engaging.
Learning a new language is definitely not simple, but I would recommend Vito to make it so much easier to anyone who is interested.

From Jaye (/5): Vito is very patient and encouraging - which he needs to be with someone like me who is older and really feels like it's an uphill battle to learn Italian. He is very good at going at a pace that works for me and I feel that one of his skills is to work on an individual learning basis. I know that if someone had more evolved language skills than mine, Vito would be able to progress them along very quickly. However, for me a slow pace that instills confidence (which I lack) has been the key. I enjoy our tutoring time, he's very personable and makes me believe in myself.

From Rachael (/5): So far I have only had two sessions with Vito. I have however, signed up for ten as I am really enjoying my attempts at learning Italian. Vito is very patient and appreciates how difficult it is to grasp a new language especially when you can't translate word for word the exact meanings from Italian to English. What I am learning is it is so important to practice, practice, practice and don't be afraid to ask questions no matter how stupid you may think the question is! The resources and homework I have received are most helpful and the links to simple websites are fun.

His lessons cover all aspects of the language including reading, writing, speaking and listening. From Liza (/5): Vito has been a huge help for my daughter who lacked the confidence to speak out loud in Italian. He has been vey methodical with his approach, not speaking too last and allowing her to build up her vocabulary over a number of lessons. His lessons are well planned and has provided her with very well received extra vocabulary and passages for practice. Her mocks are next week and I will be certainly be reaching out to book more lessons over the Easter break before the actual GCSE.

He’ll send exercises to do between sessions to practice the new material. Vito has been super helpful kickstarting my Italian language learning over the last few weeks.

From Kerry (/5): My first session with Vito was just brilliant. He's got a great way of teaching and explaining certain rules and grammatical aspects that makes a lot of sense. I suspect I will learn a lot about how to communicate effectively and logically, particularly in day-to-day conversation, which is exactly what I'm looking for. I very much look forward to my next sessions.

From Raffaella (/5): I had my first lesson with Vito. He is very calm and friendly. I don't mind making mistakes or trying to speak the language in front of him. In our first lesson we established a common ground (how much I know and what the best way of action is). So far he send me a lot of vocabulary to review and excersises I am going to do between the lessons.

After using language apps (Duolingo, Babbel) for many years, I didn't feel that I had a proper grasp of Italian grammar. Immediately after a few lessons with Vito it all started coming together.
It's also been very helpful to have conversational practice; Vito deliberately forces you to think about the sentence structure, vocabulary, and verb formations - exactly what I needed to try and make progress in my language learning.
