Friends and colleagues call me Amy.
I have a lifelong passion for Maths which led to a Maths degree and a career in life insurance as an actuary and executive. I would like to share this passion with other learners and help them improve their skills.
I have many years of experience teaching and tutoring Maths at different levels. While I have taught full classes, I also enjoy one-to-one and one-to-small group teaching because I can better tailor my approach to the learner's current ability.
I taught Maths online throughout the CoVid pandemic with Schools Partneship Tutors.
I am available to teach throughout the school term, or on a short-term basis. My ultimate goal in teaching is to improve students' understanding and apply their learning to solve word problems. At the appropriate time, I will teach useful techniques to pass exams to the best of their ability.
I expect us to have preliminary conversations to discuss your needs at no cost. I am happy to discuss if you live outside my travel distance. If you are satisfied that I can help you achieve your goal, then we can decide on a regular tutoring schedule.
Parent's involvement is key to any child's success. If you are a parent, then by browsing this site you are already involved. It would be best if you are present at the initial session so we can talk about your expectations.
