Chloe

Hi, I'm Chloe. I am incredibly passionate about English (both Language and Literature), and teaching it! I have been a Secondary school English teacher for two years, and I have been a private English tutor (from Primary ages to adults) for three. Prior to this, I studied (MA and BA(Hons) in Literature) and worked for the local libraries. When I'm not teaching, you can find me curled up with a good book (and my cats) or at a cafe! Whilst I will help with boosting key skills; I believe that English isn't just about reading and writing; but developing critical thinking skills, developing empathy and enriching cultural capital.

Tutoring Approach

Positive, positive, positive! Making something fun and positive is crucial to remebering it. I will consistently recap key knowledge whilst teaching new information. Especially for those sitting exams, I understand completley how to teach to remember and how to aid revision. I have a real passion for English and I hope this rubs off onto my tutees; motivating them to work at the best of their ability. I like to teach all learners at a high level; teaching hard concepts in easy ways.
