Hello! My name is Darren and I live and work in Newcastle. I have a PHD in Statistics and a 1st Class Masters Degree in Mathematics from Newcastle University.

Tutoring Experience

I have experience doing one to one private tuition for students studying GCSE and A-Level Maths, as well as first year undergraduate students from a range of different disciplines who needed help with their Math modules.

Tutoring Approach

I tutor according to the needs of the individual. You may need help with an approaching exam, or longer term tutoring if you are struggling in your Math lessons, therefore my approach is flexible depending on your needs. However, lessons will generally involve explaining the topic as simply as possible followed by lots of practice questions. The aim is to provide a deep understanding and questions and discussion are encouraged.
