Dina

Hola, my name is Dina and I am a native Spanish speaker from Argentina. Having worked as a dentist in my home country, it was after moving to the UK in 2011 that I discovered my passion for languages and I decided to make a change and start a new career. The UK has been my home for over 10 years now and I have gained great experience as a full time, qualified tutor, teaching different ages, levels and numbers of students needing help with vocabulary, conversation, business, holidays and student homework / exams.

Tutoring Experience

I do one-to-one lessons with English and other languages speakers, both children and adults. I've been teaching Spanish for 8 years in the UK and have completed training with the Unamuno Center (University of Salamanca), for ELE tutors (teaching Spanish as a foreign language).
I have also completed different grammar courses, amongst others, for ELE tutors (University of Salamanca).
In addition to my private 1:1 / 1:2 lessons, I've been teaching an adult group of 12-14 people at University of the 3rd Age (U3A) since January 2015 and another adult group in Great Missenden Abbey since 2017 (former Adult Learning Centre Buckinghamshire group).
I teach using a wide variety of resources covering all levels, using different text books, audio, videos and specialised Spanish websites to which I subscribe according to student needs, goals and pace of learning.

Report: I am delighted with Dina, she is friendly, encouraging and challenging. She instinctively knows what I can cope with and how to stretch me. She has an assortment of materials, apps and iPad downloads so we can mix up the lessons. No hesitation in recommending her - I can't believe how much I have learnt in four lessons only!

Report: Dina very kindly prepared me for a trip to Guatemala. As I only had a short time frame, she catered the lessons so that I could cover all of the basics and thought carefully about what I would most need. Tutoring Approach

I am a friendly and approachable person who will make your lessons enjoyable, interesting and fun. I will encourage you to speak the language as much as possible, according to your needs and level. I will motivate you to talk a bit more each lesson as you make progress and achieve your goals. As we progress, I am always happy to go back and revise past topics, grammar, vocabulary etc, in order to make you feel comfortable and confident using the language. My lessons are always focused on the individual student(s) and are 100% personalised.

I offer lessons either face to face or on-line.
I am also willing to travel to my students (maybe subject to a small additional fee, depending on location).
