I am a native French tutor with a passion for teaching and over 20 years of experience. I am enthusiastic, empathetic, and patient, and I love helping students of all abilities gain confidence in French. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy reading, history, sociology, and walking — interests that often enrich my lessons with cultural depth and perspective.
I have taught students from Year 6 to A-level, as well as adults preparing for DELF/DALF, for more than two decades. Many of my pupils have been from leading independent schools, and I have prepared students for Common Entrance and Scholarships at Eton, Westminster, St Paul’s, and King’s, as well as for GCSE (AQA, Edexcel, OCR), A-level, the International Baccalaureate (IB), and Oxbridge entry. I stay fully up to date with exam specifications, so my students know exactly what to expect — reducing stress and maximising results.
My teaching style is both rigorous and encouraging. I love grammar and enjoy stretching bright students to excel, while being equally patient and supportive with those who find languages more challenging. Each lesson is tailored to the individual, combining structured practice with humour, lively conversation, and engaging materials. All my lessons are delivered online via Teams (flexible with other platforms in future), making tuition accessible and time-efficient while maintaining the same personal connection and high standards. My goal is always to create a trusting rapport with students and parents, so that progress feels natural, enjoyable, and sustainable.
