Jamal

Hi! I'm Jamal, a fourth-year medical student with over four years of tutoring experience. I specialize in teaching Maths, Biology, and Chemistry at GCSE and KS3 levels. I focus on making lessons clear, engaging, and exam-focused so that students not only understand the material but also build the confidence and exam technique needed to reach — and often exceed — their target grades.

Tutoring Experience

I am a registered tutor on another leading platform and currently teach several students online at GCSE and KS3 levels. Many of my students commit to lessons for the entire academic year, so please reach out if you would like to secure a spot.

In the 2025 GCSE results, most of my students achieved grade 7 or higher, reflecting strong progress and exam performance. One student I tutored in Biology and Chemistry started at grade 4 and went on to achieve grades 7 and 9, showing remarkable improvement. Two of my Maths students earned grades 7 and 8. Another student I taught in Maths, Biology, and Chemistry started at grades 5/6 and achieved grade 7 across all three subjects.

I have over four years of experience tutoring students at various stages, from 11+ exams to GCSE and A-Level, including at a leading grammar school. Having completed my own GCSEs and A-Levels under the updated syllabus, I am well-versed in current specifications and can teach effective strategies for tackling different types of exam questions. My expertise includes helping students master subject content, develop exam techniques, and build confidence to succeed.

Beyond academics, my experience as a personal trainer has strengthened my communication skills, patience, and ability to motivate students. I am also highly organised and adept at time management — skills I emphasise with my students to support their academic success.

My tutoring approach is centered on identifying each student’s strengths and areas for improvement. Lessons are tailored to focus on the topics that require the most support, with a step-by-step exploration of content to ensure a thorough understanding.

To consolidate learning, I incorporate exam-style questions throughout the lessons, helping students build confidence and prepare effectively for their exams. Open communication is a priority in my teaching—I encourage students to ask questions and seek clarification whenever needed.

With a friendly and structured teaching style, I also guide students in developing effective study techniques, addressing an important skill often overlooked in schools. My aim is to provide students with the tools and confidence they need to achieve their full potential
