I am passionate about teaching, learning languages, and working with young people. I’ve personally experienced the language learning journey—first when I moved to the UK and learned English in real-life situations, and later through travel across Spain and Latin America, where I immersed myself in Spanish.
I believe languages are powerful tools—not only for enhancing communication but also for connecting with people, discovering new cultures and countries, and developing a deep appreciation for diversity.
Outside of teaching, I’m also passionate about sports. I’m a runner, and I enjoy reading crime novels in French, English, and Spanish. I'm also a fan of Netflix and love watching series in their original languages, no matter the country—they’re a great way to keep my language skills sharp and explore different cultures through storytelling.
I have been Head of the MFL Faculty at my school for the past ten years, and I am also a Senior Leader Practitioner within the MAT where I work. I have been teaching for fifteen years, and during this time my students have consistently achieved their targets at both GCSE and A Level.
In addition, over the past three years, I have been providing online private tuition to GCSE and A Level students. My tutees have consistently achieved their academic goals. I believe that online teaching is a highly effective way to provide personalised, one-to-one support and serves as a powerful complement to traditional classroom learning.
My approach is rooted in building strong, professional relationships with students. I believe that trust is the foundation of effective learning—once students feel supported and respected, they are far more likely to engage and thrive.
I adapt my teaching to meet the individual needs of each student, taking into account their personal goals and academic targets. I prepare students for exams both academically and psychologically, helping them build confidence as well as competence. I also provide effective revision techniques—not just for French exams, but for exam preparation in general.
Throughout my career, I have developed strong coaching skills, which I use to motivate students, support their progress, and help them succeed in their studies and academic journey.
