Personal Description:

Chenxuan is a dynamic pianist and dedicated educator based in London, celebrated for her expressive artistry and versatile musicianship. Beginning her piano studies at the age of five, she went on to earn her First-Class Honours degree from Northeast Normal University in China before completing her Master of Music at Goldsmiths, University of London. She was subsequently awarded a place at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, where she pursued the prestigious Artist Diploma.
Her training has been shaped by an array of distinguished mentors, including Andrew Zolinsky (RCM), Hillary Coates (Trinity Laban), Ian Jones (RCM), and Deniz Arman Gelenbe (Trinity Laban). She currently continues her artistic development under the guidance of world-renowned pianist and teacher Martino Trimo.
Chenxuan has appeared in recitals at esteemed venues such as Steinway Hall London and the Foundling Museum, and has given performances internationally. Equally at home as a soloist, chamber musician, and collaborative pianist, she works closely with instrumentalists, vocalists, and dance artists, with a repertoire spanning baroque elegance through to contemporary innovation.

Tutoring Experience:

I am an experienced professional pianist and dedicated teacher with extensive performance and teaching experience, which I passionately pass on to my students. I have taught in both China and the U.K… working with learners of all levels—from beginners to advanced pianists. My teaching approach is professional and tailored, focusing on building a strong technical and theoretical foundation while nurturing each student’s musical expression.

I prepare students for ABRSM and Trinity College grade exams, as well as auditions and performance opportunities.

Alongside my performing career, I am a devoted pedagogue whose students have achieved remarkable success on both national and international stages. My pupils have won top prizes at prestigious competitions, including the UK International Music Competition—where one student received the Absolute First Prize in the Prodigy Category—the Bromley Music Festival (First Prize), and For Art Shanghai (Silver Star). Their achievements reflect my commitment to fostering artistic excellence and inspiring the next generation of musicians.

I tailor each lesson to the individual student, striking a careful balance between technical skill and theoretical understanding. I strive to make lessons engaging, enjoyable, and inspiring.
